Most states stop you at 65 or 70 MPH on the Highways, but Texas allows drivers to go much faster.
Austin, Texas has the fastest road in the entire United States at a speed limit of 85 MPH.
The 130 Toll Road South of Austin is where these speeds can legally be reached. The speed limits have prompted a debate if they are even safe, most cops would probably let you go around 5 MPH over the speed limit which would be at 90MPH.
Texas has been at the forefront of increasing the limits with the vast expansion of Interstates and Highways throughout the state as the population continues to grow.
The Toll Road goes from North of Georgetown all the way to San Antonio. You can go 85 MPH for a good portion of the drive.
