The Fiesta Commission has decided to postpone Fiesta until later this year due to fears of the coronavirus spreading.
Amid fears that the coronavirus could be easily spread at the fast approaching Fiesta celebration in San Antonio, thousands signed a petition to cancel Fiesta, but the Fiesta Commission decided otherwise. The new plan will be as follows:
Fiesta will now be held on November 5th through the 15th, 2020.
This should allow time for the coronavirus to subside, reduce the number of people infected, and this will also allow for the best time to host Fiesta at a later date that is not only safe, but also won't conflict with already-planned events scheduled near the Riverwalk.
