POLL: Do you think Texas should have been closed down due to COVID-19?

The Arguments

Keep Texas Open: Advocates of keeping Texas Open and Reopening faster are saying that the percentage of the population actually affected by COVID-19 is too small to have shut down the entire state. 57,541 cases have been reported as of May 27th, which is approximately .19% of the population.

Keep Texas Closed: People in support of Keeping Texas Closed from the beginning and keeping it closed longer argue that the .19% of the population that was affected could have been much much larger if the population had been able to continue with life as normal.
