Tony Traconi, a U.S. Military man stationed in Italy, wanted his son to be born in Texas, regardless of where they were in the world.
Texas pride goes far and wide, y'all. It cost him around $200 to ship a container full of Texas dirt to Italy, but Tony did it.
Tony did not want his son to be born so far from Texas, so his plan was to have the dirt placed under his wife's hospital bed while the baby was delivered so that his child could be be born over Texas soil.
In a viral tweet that has now gone private, Tony stated:
"I spent over $200 on shipping costs for dirt from Texas, The plan is to hide it under the hospital bed so when my wife gives birth my son will be born over Texas land."
Tony updated the story and let everyone know that the Texas soil passed the inspection through customs, and he took the viral photo of his son standing on Texas soil for the first time ever.
“To be able to say my son was born over Texas is priceless to me.”
