H-E-B confirmed in a company statement that customers going inside H-E-B stores will no longer have to wear masks.
H-E-B released the following statement:
"H-E-B strongly encourages the use of masks or facial coverings by all our customers in all stores."
"H-E-B requires the use of masks or facial covering by all our Partners and vendors in customer facing and close contact positions. The Governor’s order allows local governments to maintain mask ordinances and several municipalities in Texas have mandatory mask orders."
"H-E-B abides by the ordinances in those areas by strongly encouraging the use of masks, but we will not deny entry."
